Like
most landscape photographers, I'm always planning my next
expedition. Recently, I visited some of my favorite locations
and now you can view the images in my gallery.
As I study my subject, considering exposure, lighting
and composition, in order to create the final images many
things go through my mind. I first have to decide whether
to use film or digital, keeping in mind my arsenal of
lenses, ranging from 58mm to 360mm. I shoot with a Sinar
X 4" x 5" Large format camera and with
a Gaoersi

x 17
panorama and sometimes high resolution digital, either
with the PhaseOne H20 or the FX scan back tethered to
a Apple G4 Labtop.
Through my
experience and testing of film, I have found that I get
the best results from Fujichrome Velvia 100F, Provia 100,
Astia 100 and Ektachrome VS. They provide me with exceptional
sharpness, saturation and faithful color reproduction
and image fidelity.
I
give all of my images my personal attention from scanning
to color correction to artist proofs to the final print.
In the last several years, I've also been concentrating
my creative efforts in producing digital art. With some
images, the end result incorpoates photographic elements.
