"
No man has the right to dictate what other men should perceive, create
or produce, but all should be encouraged to reveal themselves, their
perceptions and emotions, and to build confidence in the creative spirit
" ~ Ansel Adams.

I began my photographic journey as a young boy, I can still remember when my dad bought me my first camera. It was a Rolliflex twin lens reflex and I would go out on weekend trips in the country to remote places that I loved so much to photograph. I would spend hours watching the magical interplay of light dance across Gods creations. Photography has been my passion for over 25 years. For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated with the outdoors and nature, the play of sunlight on the lansdscape, the colors of the sunrise and sunset, the change of the seasons, and the peacefulness that energizes my soul when I am in the natural world. I find inspiration in the work by artists such as Ansel Adams, Michael Fatali and Garlen Rowell. In my quest as a landscape photographer, it is my goal to capture a small part of this planet we call Earth, and the beauty it has to offer, to capture images that reveal the beauty of the landscape, and its flora and fauna. I hope my images stir your emotions and give you a sense of the hidden beauty that surrounds us all, and to share it with you. What you see in my images is an exact representation of the scene, and what I saw through the lens and the emotion I felt before the film was exposed. Being a traditional and digital photographer, I do use digital imaging techniques, taking advantage of the digital darkroom, from scanning the film, cleaning dust and scratches, adjusting color balance, saturation, tone, contrast, and sharpness in order to prepare my images for print, and to display my body of work. It is my goal as a landscape photographer to replicate the scene that I witnessed and existed before me and present each one to you as the viewer. |
